Mickledore : State Aid and Public Sector Funding
In our experience State Aid is frequently used as the reason as to why projects cannot be funded by the public sector but little value is then offered in terms of how projects could be structured differently or whether indeed the intervention genuinely does represent state aid.
Compliance and Design
Mickeldore has significant experience in ensuring that public sector funding is compliant with European State Aid rules. We have structured procurement approaches and public / private sector partnerships to meet the requirements of the legislation.
Mickledore has also designed funding interventions within state aid legislation to attract different types of economic outcomes.
Our work in this areas has included engagements to examine the competitiveness of different public sector grant schemes.
Funding
Given our experience in State Aid Legislation and our knowledge of the aspirations of public sector economic development agencies we are in the unique position of being able to structure projects which on the one hand attract funding from existing grant schemes and on the other provide public sector agencies with the outputs they require from private sector investment.
Mickledore can therefore offer both private and public sector clients a fund raising consultancy service based on mutual gain rather than an approach with is adversarial in nature.
